i have been on the most strict of construction sites such as new build power stations and petrochemical sites and done thousands of site inductions including my SCATS card and never heard of this,as long as the colouring is corect and the reflective white slashes conform then you are ok,ocasionaly a site will require you to wear a vest with the name of your company on the back such as the bovis site at media city if i can recall but thats about it..
