Hideki Ishige

Didn't he play for the under 21's . I'm sure I remember reading he was the trialist that Balotelli let take a pen and he missed. Might be wrong though.

I don't think he missed (whoever it was), we won 4-0 and the only scorers mentioned are Suarez and Balo(x2)

Yeah your right the men article said he allowed a trialist to take a pen which was converted. Misread it first time round. Not sure if we have any others on trial at the minute. Somebody who follows the EDS will probably know.

It seems Ishige is the only trialist who played the game,
also he DID miss but scored the rebound

Honda somehow disappeared from focus recently, haven't watched him for a while but I guess there's some reason for it. He was very good in Russia 2-3years ago but he's nowhere to be seen/heard anymore.

He has been brilliant this season in the RPL. He has been selected for a number of times in the best 11 of the week by the media and if you look at his stats, he is one of the top performers overall and either the top or 2nd best in attacking mid position in the league. CSKA did not have a proper striker in the first half of this season, so Honda played as a second striker, as well as his usual #10's position. CSKA have adopted 4-2-3-1 formation this season and it was Honda who led the team, virtually single-handedly taught the team to play passing football. Like his Japan national team, Honda has become the vital cog for CSKA and been seen as a creative talisman.

A lack of news on the tabloids regarding Honda is understandable. There is an intricate net of so many interested groups/sectors surrounding Honda. What you hear or see in the tabloids is usually far from the facts.

Here is a highlight of Honda in the first half of the 2012-2013 season.

Pretty impressive stuff in that video. It's a shame he's playing in Russia during his peak years.

Seriously, Why did we not push harder for this guy? Or were all the rumours smokes and mirrors?

Got the feeling he and Spanish Dave would get along well.
