Hmmm if we finish top can see it being atletico or Roma ..

Atletico are not great at the moment and Roma shouldn't be a threat to anyone seriously trying to win the competition.

Ajax is my dream draw, Frenkie de Jong to get a look at us up close and personal and we know Pep likes buying from club's he's played against.

Been listening to Nagelsmann's presser.

Lots of respect for Pep and City, of course.
His last CL match for Hoffenheim tomorrow, heading to RB Leipzig next summer.
Not much pressure for them, they want to enjoy a rare match at the Etihad.

During the match they will change between aggressive high press, phases of possession and counter attacks.

He said what City did at Chelsea was the most perfect high pressing he has ever seen.
City is great at defending in the opponent's half, but not so much in our own, compared to Athletic Madrid for example, he said.

Hope we don't give them much, they can be a greedy, tricky side, on their day.

Let's have a strong defence and win.
Schalke next please.

Talented manager destined for a big future I feel. We were pressing perfectly on Saturday and Sterling was all over their defence. When we sat off around 44mins (should have been 2 up) luiz pinged it forwards and wiped our press out and left us chasing and we fell behind. Second half we didn't get close enough with our pressing.

Energy levels perhaps an issue but not quite a crisis yet.

Injury wise we are struggling and need to keep within a win of Liverpool at least over christmas to kick on with those back from injury in the new year.

Winning the group helps in Feb (a tough month for fixtures with Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton) but need to rotate with two days until Everton in the early kick off...beat Everton and pressure on Liverpool (again) with Mourinho who hates them taking a rested rag side.

The squad is that that thin we may have 4 centre Half's on the bench for this game. I just hope Pep doesn't leave spaces on the subs again there's always someone to fill the spot even if we put 2 keepers on there.
