He is a phenomenal keeper wouldn't change him for any other keeper in the world but he hasnt been great these last few weeks.

His passing is unquestionable but he was at fault for the 2 penalty's that we conceded 2 games running & he has spilled a few shots this last month or so. I'm not questioning his ability as a goalkeeper though I was just thinking give him a night off.
 
Don’t see why Foden can’t start this game. He’s ready in all respects.
Reserve the usual suspects for the league game on Saturday. If we can’t get at least a draw with the amazing rotatable talent we have in the squad, we might as well leave the CL now.

We are still lacking that ruthless directness going forward. Our finishing/taking chances isn’t as efficient as we should be. I can never understand why we always appear to try and get the ball into the 6 yard box before we shoot. Although we have an amazing distributor in Eddy, we seem happy to let teams regroup before we attack their goal, it’s infuriating the way we go past defences and in on goal, to then turn back and go back into our own half.
Possession and stats all look lovely, but if we can’t put it way against teams when we should be, then we will be seeing more of the Chelsea performances.
I really hope it was just a blip and a rush of shit to the brain by the players. No doubt Pep will have a concrete game plan for this one.

I really hope Jesus gets a goal. He desperately needs something to raise his confidence.
 
Think we'll need a strong side out to win this one. Save for one domestic cup tie, Hoffenheim have scored in every game this season.
 
I think Danilo has to start this one. Walker is overplayed and in poor form, Danilo has looked good so far this season and a little run of games - Hoffenheim/Everton/League Cup - would both give him a chance to hit his stride and challenge for a starting spot, and give Walker a 10 day mini break.

A Foden start, and sub appearances for Aguero and KDB would make it a successful evening win or draw.

Correct me if I am wrong but neither Kevin nor Sergio has been training with the 1st team. Therefore I find it near impossible for them to even be on the bench.
 
My gut feeling tells me that we could easily lose this game yet still qualify as group winners. Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. City 1-3 currently 80/1 with Betfair.
