Home Grown Players?

I think we're pretty light on these, by my reckoning we have 10 but looks like 3 will be leaving, Barry, Lescott & Sinclair.

Hart
Wright (does he even exist?)
Richards (club trained)
Lescott (maybe gone/going)
Clichy
Barry (gone/going)
Milner
Sinclair (gone/going)
Rodwell
Guidetti (next season over 21? - club trained)

So, in people's opinion, what's out there who qualify as home grown we could go for - my thoughts are

Luke Shaw as backup for Clichy (sell Kolarov)
Barklay - not really seen him play (Barry replacement, I know he's not a defensive mid but just as a midfield number)
Any wingers who could replace Sinclair? Has Vlad Weiss developed enough to come back as a squad player in this role?
Shawcross was fancied by a few a while ago (for Lescott?)

Struggling to think of any who wouldn't cost an absolute fortune which Barklay probably would........... :(

Really not an issue imo, no point buying overpriced "homegrown players" just for the sake of a quota, we can easily fill the quota with lesser names that aren't expected to play as much. Simply ditch Pantillimon for someone HG like Foster (who is only going to play in an emergency anyway), then you have 3/8 from keepers alone. Add in Clichy, Guidetti, Rekik, Rodwell, RIchards and Milner and we're pretty much fine I think

We have decent players coming out of the EDS, and seems like we are adding quite a few this season too with the next Messi, next Yaya, next Garcia. et.al

But Ross Barkley is a fair shout.

Of the ones in that list, Rodwell should start for less attacking oppositions.

We'd have a better shot getting Clyne than Shaw right now. I think that Denayer and Rekik could fill the void left by Lescott.

We definitely need a central midfielder. If we sell Garcia we should move for a player like Fernando. Lopes should be ready to step into the first team as well. I don't think Rodwell moves this summer. We won't recoup his value.

Sadly I think both Rodwell and Micah should be sold.

Sadly I agree, both far to injury prone to be relied on over a long term basis. If Yaya or Zabaletta broke a leg tomorrow we'd be fucked if we had to rely on these two over a long period, we'd be down to EDS lads in no time.

Edit:

I'd love to see Will Hughes with us as understudy to both Nasri and Silva to give us another creative option. He's a real talent from what I've seen of him (got to see him live) and honestly I rate him higher than Ross Barkley. Hughes isn't as strong but has a much better eye for a pass.
