Hospitality revenue.

err, 20 bensons in Manchester , same as London, pint of beer Manchester £3 London £5 to 7. That's before you have something to eat.

Adrian Durham from talk shite went the other night and sat in the away section with the Brighton fans
£4.50 a pint and you can also buy fried tofu and chips
He did also say that he bought fish and chips in the stadium and they were “outstanding “

I don’t know you tell me

Take a wild guess
You tell me why you made your original comment and singled out a minority. Don’t you think we have many wealthy Jewish supporters and many wealthy non Jewish supporters. Why can’t you just say Spurs have many wealthy supporters?

Spuds also have to pay for that stadium yet.....current debt is estimated at about £600million, but I think the accounts show a total of £280million "short term" and £680 million "long term" debt. Thats £950mill of moneys owed out.....so if they paid off that with the 800k a match it would only take 1200 matches.

Der Speigl has already proved we make up all our figures so we have nothing to worry about.

Like the old days when Swales used to announce the attendance as 800 when the Kippax was rammed!!!!

Apologies if this is in the wrong section but I have just read this by Martin Samuel in today's Mail.

"Tottenham are believed to be making £800,000 from hospitality, food and drink at their new stadium — and that's just before kick-off. By way of comparison, on a good day, takings at Manchester City are in the region of £150,000. In time, this will tell. "

Surely this can't be correct? How can they make so much extra revenue?
So they reckon they will be making close to £1million EVERY game before kickoff just from hospitality? Wouldn't that mean even if every game sold out, they'd have to take around £15 off every fan before kickoff? As if every fan is even going to go to the bar or pie shop to begin with.

Doesn't sound right to me, neither does the comparison to City(why are Spurs talking about City so much?).

It's the "we're bigger than City" bollocks all over again, Spurs have never been bigger than City, well besides the 90s for obvious reasons with the televisation of the game, they probably had a head start on the world wide front.

Domestically I don't think there's much between City and Spurs in fanbase and there never has been. Hasn't this already been cleared up by posters like Gary James? With City perhaps even edging it? This certainly seems to suggest City have had the edge for quite a while:

Regardless both are top clubs in that respect, despite what their neighbours say. World wide, in recent years, City have to have overtaken Spurs considerably(more successful, better players, bigger managers) and we are still growing rapidly.

The way he closed that sentence off with "in time, this will tell" I get the feeling those at Spurs and those connected to them are looking over at City enviously. As if they should be overtaking us any time soon, just because they have a new stadium? We've got a good stadium ourselves, a better training complex(although theirs is good) and as a more successful club, we're in a much better position to attract bigger sponsors than them.

Since they mentioned City by name, I hope someone connected to City club picks it apart. Also if it isn't bollocks, I hope this doesn't encourage other owners to start fleecing their fans trying to get £1m before kickoff, with ripoff prices. It's not like their capacity is that far off everyone else in the top 6 bar Chelsea.

You have a point but I hope you take the same offence when people say Arab money, willy nilly.
