You'll be avoiding istanbul in its entirety if that's your plan. They'll be everywhere and if they are looking for any trouble, my guess would be they'll be looking for it amongst smaller groups in quieter places in typical Italian style rather than in what's going to be the most populated and policed part of the city.

Taksim square for me. Seems like it's going to be the most popular area for blues. Looks like it is the destination for shuttle bus drop offs too. Plenty of bars and shops around for all your needs and seems like there's still plenty of cheap and cheerful hotels available. I booked in at Simon hotel, genuinely picked it amongst the plethora of similar basic but cheap hotel rooms purely because it's a name I can remember and pronounce even if I'm heavily na

Plenty of bars and shops around for all your needs and seems like there's still plenty of cheap and cheerful hotels available. I've no idea about inter. The uefa website tells you to use the free shuttle buses, im guessing that's information they're giving to everybody that reads it, Inter fans too. It says they'll be drop offs to the ground, fan park and centre, im assuming the centre is taksim square.

Staying near Bagcilar, just over 10km from the ground, just a couple of us in a decently priced Airbnb. Booked months in advance not knowing would actually be staying in the downtown heart of Istanbul haha. Hope to see some blues in and around Bagcilar/Basaksehir nonetheless

Sounds like there’s plenty of Blues around that area then! I booked it (with free cancellation) straight after we were knocked out of the CL last season, so it’s worked out well!
