Hotpoint Door Stuck

My Mum’s washing machine has failed electrically in Middleton and the door is stuck closed .. She’ll replace the machine but needs somebody to get the door open and the washing out.

Can anybody recommend a local person who can sort it for a reasonable fee?

I’m locked down in Wales or I’d do it myself...

She’s been at home for the last two weeks so there’s no Covid risk and she’d obviously stay in another room while it was sorted

Brute force would be fine so there is no real skill needed...

If she or someone can get the top off then get someone with a smallish hand and feel down to about level with the door catch , below this there will be the latch, might need a bit of feeling, this should pull or push and open the door.
Take the plug out first.

Try removing the filter. It might be blocked. Thus it not draining, thus the programme not finishing, thus the door not opening.

The washer blew and knocked out all the electrics.. they sorted that but couldn’t look at the washer.. she’s got somebody going tomorrow now but thanks for the responses
