Just confirms how much I hate international football and rugby union when I found myself watching anything but....

Roll on Saturday/Tuesday/Sunday week I say...back to the proper football........

International football is dieing a death and then some. I don't think it's coincidence that as the number of foreign footballers in England and the exposure to foreign leagues has increased the interest in international football has died. As a kid being able to see the likes of Gullit, Van Basten, Voller, Baresi, Hagi, etc this was the only opportunity, now we see it week in week out and being deprived of it feels like a punishment rather than a date to mark in the calendar. Clubs only lost 5 or 6 players at an absolute maximum during these periods too, now your average premiership club has around a dozen players on international duty.

Something's going to give eventually; I wouldn't be surprised if we see our qualifiers crammed into the summer months in the odd years and played as a tournament (if that makes sense) to avoid these clashes with the domestic calendar and as a means of revitalising supporter interest.

Another two week break coming in a month's time too for the Euro 2012 playoffs. :x

Totally agree. Mind you the Steps Reunion thing has been on :-^

Haven't we got another one coming up in a few weeks. I used to think I wasn't interested in internationals because we rarely had City players involved but can't be the case. I think I hate the breaks even more now in case any get injured.

Yeah clocked it...Only one home game in November-The barcoders...Fooking hell...I really think of it as close season during international breaks. Only thing I care about is no injuries to any blues. Just hope that rag twat Fletcher doesn't try to bone the wizard tonight...

Can't wait till Saturday and 3pm K.Off.....

The Super League Grand Final was excellent (rugby league is a fantastic sport!). Plus I like the odd breaks from City now and again as the week leading up to a game after a few weeks without one is exciting, I like the build up.

Rugby yawnion is an awful sport.

As for international footy: I don't like international training games, I wont watch them, I'm not arsed about training; I find qualifying for tournaments about as exciting as the first round of the FA Cup, although I really like proper competitive international games in tournaments.

DB-Yeah watched the grand final - love the rugby league but being a Salford fan living in St Helens I get a little bit of grief! I hate international football that much I won't even watch the euros..No bull-just not into it
