It is beggars belief in my county (Pembrokeshire) just how bent and selfserving the council leaders are.
Scandal after scandal lately and still the head honcho is still in power and this is a bloke who earns £225,000 a year which is more than the prime minister.
They swept under the carpet complaints and suspicions of a council worker abusing children and behaving inapropriately (i.e. taking pictures of boys in changing rooms) to protect their image, this bloke then went on to abuse a boy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-28330763
The leader then also allowed himself to avoid taking council pension payments (unlawfully) and take them as cash payments to avoid tax to the sum of £50k, and despite this being deemed unlawful council board voted down a vote of no confidence (masonry handshakes and a fear of losing their overpaid jobs no doubt) in him along with voting down a motion for this bloke to repay these illegal payments..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wale...
It is unbelievable what these people get away with! so what i'm asking is how corrupt is your local authority and has anyone had any expereince of taking the fight from the people to the council? (main fight i can think of would be to withold council tax payments in a vote of no confidence from the public)
