I needed something androgynous as I was going through my transgender transformation and didn't want to have to change my username once complete.

It's geoffrey with a p. Based on a lad from junior school who would get the loops on his lower case g's backwards. It looked like a p with a tail. He became peoffrey after writing his name like it and it's tribute to him. I doubt he'll ever know.

Many can't pronounce it. I was chatting to a man in Belgrade, Serbia and he asked if I was "pee-off-free" from the Wales forum I use. It's my Twitter handle too.
