How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Second homes should be illegal as well although there would always be a loophole.

Very good argument due to the wider negative consequences it has on communities on the coast or in national parks

Would make sense for there to be a licensing scheme on Air B&B type holiday lets and there's less chance homes will be left empty for a large part of the year.

For people wealthy enough to own a second home for holiday purposes, don't see why you can't just use short term lets, holiday parks or caravans instead.

Because that way the wealthy can't own the second home and operate it as a holiday let so it pays for itself and they get free holidays - they DON'T WANT to give any money to anyone else

Exactly my point. Thank you.

I have no issues with the free market in things that are not food, shelter, national resources and public transport.

Pre covid I visited China.
You could buy a meal with a beer for about £4 back then.
How much does a similar meal cost now?
About £4:50.
Taxi fares have gone up in some places too. From minimum fare 60p to 80p.
It's still between 10 and 30p on the bus though!

Where would the Tories house their Russian mates?

Just shows the devastating effects of brexit can even be felt in Asia.
