How do you assess our transfer business?

Not impressed. Aguero will be our for 2montha. Still don’t trust our defense. Idk not that optimistic

I think on paper we have the strongest squad in the Premier League but at present looks like we have only the 5th strongest starting 11.

Can’t see us winning anything if we don’t use the remaining weeks of the transfer window to address glaring and long standing problems in attack, central midfield and defence. Ake and Torres alone are not enough if we are to close the gap on LiVARpool.

Pointless winning the verdict at CAS if we don’t use the opportunity now to rebuild the side.

Obviously we need Koulibaly.

But the other two positions are different.

We bought our long term DM last summer. We can't just buy another. If Todri doesn't train on then fine but we can't just abandon the plan like that.
The striker scenario is similar. We bought GJ three years ago just for this moment. Let's see how he does. If he gets injured goal machine Raheem can fill in until Kun returns. At the end of the season if GJ has proved himself we buy a young apprentice. If not then we buy someone like Mbappe.

Haven't improved the starting eleven, simple as. Neither Ake nor Torres are absolute certainties in our strongest side unless we're playing with two left footed centre backs which I doubt.

Rodri is our long term DM replacement? Yikes.

To not have sorted our key priority position with the season about to kick off is a huge concern. Add to that Aguero being out for another 2 months, someone is going to have to magic a shit lot of goals from somewhere if our defence is going to be just as bad as last year.

This is the important thing for me. Rodri was the plan, the plan was always for him to take a year to settle, and we can't go out and spend £50m on another defensive midfielder who will automatically slot into our side and immediately make us great. If we bin every player who cost us £63m because they took a bit of time to settle in a season where the rest of the team didn't perform then we'll be fucked long term. It's sink or swim time for Foden as a legit first team player, something most fans have been asking for. The team that had Silva, Kompany, Yaya and Aguero all had off seasons, the key is whether this crop of players, specifically Bernardo, Mahrez, Sterling, Laporte, can bounce back and hit their heights. If not, next summer is the time to take a proper look at things.

That is correct. If they get back to their best and we get Koulibaly and Mendy stays fit we've more than enough to win the league.
