How do you assess our transfer business?

As it stands i would say 4/10.
Torres great potential.
Ake very average & no better than already at the club. I hope I am wrong but I think he could be similar to Sinclair

Reasonable business so far but I hope we haven't finished. I rate Ake, and I think with better players around him now and Pep coaching he'll become a really good player for us.

I have to admit I was underwhelmed by signing Torres but that's only because until we signed him I'd never heard of him or seen him play. I was desperately hoping we'd sign Sancho. Hopefully Torres ends up better and gets about 20 assists this season.

We still need Koulibaly I think, Ota isn't good enough anymore, Garcia I don't believe ever will be given his stature and lack of pace. However if Stones can get back to form then Laporte/Ake/Stones is a top class set of defenders.

Worried if Kun or Jesus have injuries, could do with another striker. Most of all we need a pacy, tough tackling midfielder.

If there are no more signing I give this summer a 3/10 score. Not because Ake and Torres are not good enough, but because there are so many issues that we have not solved. Top class CB, left back, midfielder, even a striker. God we were within touching distance of signing the greatest player in history. Chelsea made an amazing window, if United sign Sancho they will have a great window, I had a lot of expectations from this summer, hope we still have some aces up our sleeve

Even if United signed sancho I would call it far from great window. Chelsea is definitely winning in the transfer window.

Our owners are proud people. The negativity pre and post FFP case will have irked them. Imagine the the press had we have gone out 'Chelski' style and splashed the cash? It would be wise to play it calm and try show some 'lateral' financial balance with outgoings and incoming players. "Softly, softly catchy Monkey" ;)

more like "softly, softly title Kloppy's"

Ake offers cover at left-back as well as central defence, so a sensible signing. However, being left-footed he isn't a natural partner for Laporte.

Torres is exciting and takes-on his man. However, we're not short of wide attacking players, and creating goalscoring chances was not a problem last season, or any time recently.

Meanwhile, we're still missing a replacement for Fernandinho and a commanding centre-back. Ideally we'd also be planning for life after Sergio.
One or two proper leaders/ characters would help too.

So would be surprised if our transfer business stopped here ?
