Do you think that if our team next season has tevez, etoo and robbie, which is looking likely then we have to forget about just pushing for 6th and go for 4th , because i am sure we have convinved them to go without champions league football next season due to the huge wages we have given them but if we dont make it the season after, will we be stuck with unhappy players who have been sold a " false dream" and who we cant off-load due to the huge sums we are paying them?

Any Premiership side SHOULD (even if they lack quality) come out each and every season looking to WIN the Premiership , and especially one that has spent the vast amount of money that we have ......... absolutely no point in coming out at all otherwise.

You have to aim for the top and see where it takes you ..... win as many games as you possibly can , home AND away , and take whatever reward it brings ....... it's the ONLY way to think , or to develop a 'winning mentality' ........ any big stars such as Tevez or Eto'o who come here , will already think that way , it's up to the rest of our side to do the same!

Even though we don't need the money the Champions League is where the cash lies ..... the further you get in it , the more money becomes available ....... 4th in the Premiership is the least we need to be truly aiming for!

But what i am questioning is what will thier mentality be if we dont achieve 4th, buckle down and try again next year or throw a hissy fit and demand a move to barca, inter, real etc..

No point being in it if you don't go all out to win the bloody thing, I never settle for less that top spot, until mathematically impossible for us to achieve it.

First things first, lets see who is injured or not on eve of first game, then one game at a time.

First objective is to get 40 points ASAP and avoid relegation.
Then get 50 points which means top ten
Then get 60 points which is top six and Europa Place
Then get 70 points which is top four

We would need ninety fecking points to achieve top spot. But seeing as there are 38 games @ 3 points a game then possible to get 114 points, so it means can lose eight games and still win it.

I'd be amazed if the likes of tevez and eto'o don't have release clauses in any potential contracts. There is no way hughes will be telling them, join us we are all set for the top six!! Surely we must be targeting a top four finish and promising any potential signings that champions league beckons? If we manage to land half the players we linked with, we should aim to bloody win the league!!

4th is probably quite important to the current top four, because we'll be occupying one of the places above. This will likely mean Arsenal will drop out of their accustomed place in the hierarchy. It will therefore be very important that the hierarchy recognises the seriousness of our assault on their entrenched position. They've been in a comfort zone of their own far too long and we need to shake it up.

Arsenal? I reckon the rags should look nervously over their shoulders with there crumbling squad

4th will be the be all next season i no they set out for 6th but with the quality off the players being linked it,s realistic. Ithink arsenal will drop out of the big four next year. Money talks and they just cant keep up times have changed!
