How is everyone feeling?

Think that's me done with CL now tbh. I'm cheesed off with the whole thing and have little interest in it.

Been saying the same thing around this time for a few years, vow never again, but I’m suck(er)ed back in each year. Few bars of ‘the Champions’, start to boo, and it’s as if it had never ever happened. See you next April. ;-)

When I was playing, the offside law contained the phrase... ‘seeking to gain an advantage’... in other words coming back from an offside position is not seeking to gain an advantage. Just like Kun last night. When did it change?

Sometime before yesterday's game.

Having mixed feelings about VAR. On the one had, I'm glad it's there to get decisions correct, which it did; Lorente's wasn't a hand ball, and Kun was offside. Would rather lose to correct decisions than to the horribly bad ones as we did last season against Liverpool away.

But the way it allows such highs as the Sterling goal to be followed by such desparing lows is a new thing in the game, and not a particularly good thing - least of all for people's health!

Not sure how to fix that though - maybe quicker decisions? No idea. And it runs the risk of muting celebrations as people will be too tentative to go ballistic next time.

Still, I think correct decisions are more important, and VAR seems to help that.

Anyways, before yesterday I said that winning three out of three games of this magnitude, given the stage of the season and our inury list, was a tall order. Two of the three was more realistic. So, we must win this weekend and beat Utd, simple as that.

OK, so we go again.
(Mind, that's what the cavalry said after the Charge of the Light Brigade.)
