How long is De Jong out for?

Hope its not long he will be a huge miss
Hoping he will return before the end of this month...along with Bellers, Studge and a few others. In fact, you could name a pretty good starting eleven out of those we have on the treatment table right now.

Crappy investement so far, splashed the cash on a player that has been injured prone for long, and now hes just keeping our physios active. So annoying :(

Yes its a silly statement but god how typical.

One long term injury = injury prone?

I think not.

Its frustrating how the club fails to keep us updated with injuries. Also him and Kompany were a huge miss today.

off the top of my head

?

?--?--Kompany--Ball

Vassell--De Jong--Johnson/Hamann--Petrov

Bellamy--Sturridge/Benjani

Not great but to complete your line-up you could have Richard Martin in net and Danny Mills.

Kompany might play Thursday if we feel desperate but would otherwise be 2 weeks for safety
De Jong might be fit for next weekend.
Petrov starts to up his training this coming week but after a long lay off andf a bad injury it will be slowly slwoly for him and maybe 3 more weeks minimum.
Benjani starts full time training next week as I think does Sturridge.
Hamman is running now but will be 2 weeks minimum
Ball out for the season
Johnson is back in training but not full time yet so no date set.
Bellamy was out running on Saturday but it will probably not be this week he is back.
Ireland hopefully won't miss matches unless the hammy goes altogether
Caicedo like Ireland won't miss matches but is nursing a slight groin strain

Cheers, can I ask how you know this though?

Also what's happened to Ball that's so bad it's put him out for the season, they never even announced he was injured.

So you think after the Sunderland game we should have a full squad for the Arsenal game on the 4th of April minus Petrov and Johnno, who will probley need an extra week barring no setbacks?

Barring setbacks yes. It is always a bif iffy to be certain after players have had a bad injury as often they get minor ones on the way back. One of the fitness staff used the phrase we need a bit of Donald Duck. Let's hope we get it.

We had Petrov/Bellamy/De Jong/Kompany out on sunday and Ireland wasnt 100%. That's the equivalent of Chelsea without Drogba/Cole/Ballack and Essien and Lampard half fit.

I wonder how we would have fared if they had been missing for Chelski.

Yeah exactly.

Can't wait to get them all back and hopefully have a good end to the season.
