20 minutes if early enough, 45-60 minutes at the wrong time. I hate commuting in to Manchester and would consider moving due to it. Luckily I don't have to do it too often, I don't know how those who do it every day manage to keep their sanity.

10 mins by car in the morning, but it's a lottery on the way home - once took me over an hour due to traffic.

Been thinking of moving out into the Peak District but not sure I could handle the added time on the commute.

I work for an American firm and some of my NYC colleagues do that sort of thing. One does a 4 hour drive then pays $100 a day to park. Another does a 4.% hour each way bus trip. Crazy beyond belief.
