The games of obvious importance are WHAM, Rags and Leicester. If we win those, the gap will be significant enough to win with around 5 or 6 games to spare.

The games against Chelsea and Tofees are so late in the season, the title may well be done and dusted before those games could have played significant impact.
We are playing two of them in the next 2 weeks, I think this run of consecutive victories is about to come to an end, there was definitely signs of fatigue today which reminds me of our 18 league game winning run coming to an end New Year Eve 2017 against Palace. To be honest, because the league is sorted, it would not be a bad thing, it would take the pressure off the record and allow us to focus on these 4 trophies, something which if we pull it off we would be more remembered for and something which I think Pep has wanted to do since he came here.

We need to beat West Ham.

And then relax.

And hope Turtle ;-) and Chelsea don't f*** up against the Rags.

Hopefully we can be at least 13 points in-front of United when we play them. A win would be perfect, and it would end their slim title hopes. But a draw will do, with another game played.

Leicester's last 3 games are United(something has to give for us), Chelsea and Spurs, so I'm not concerned about them.

I don't believe the title is over, just yet. We have won four of our titles on the last day of the season, and I believe at some point our club will be on the receiving end of a May 68 or May 2012. Whether that's this year, is another matter.

I think it's important for us to beat or draw against the mentioned teams, as they're presently our closest challengers, and even though we have a three game 'cushion' as things stand, things can change.

I do agree that we looked jaded today, but largely in front of goal. Let's not forget Kevin returned and it may take s little time for everything to get sync'd with his team mates again.

The most important game in this run, is WHAM on Saturday lunchtime on two day's recuperation.

I suspect Pep may put out a 'weaker' team on Wednesday...obviously trying to get through the game without injury, whilst wanting to remain in the tie, and putting out a team that's strong and fresh on Saturday.

If we can maintain the current gap until after the United game, we will need just 2 points a game average even if whoever is our closest challenger at that point wins every single remaining game from that point which is highly unlikely. Next 3 games decide whether we stroll to the title or whether we have to work deep into the season for it. Could have a big Impact on how we do in the cups this year and if we have the league in the bag early I think we then go on to add at least one cup to this seasons haul.

Poll on Sky sports news this morning: 23% think win 1-2 trophies, 47% think 3 and 30% think 4. Some very cautious views on this thread at the morning.

When the bookies are giving odds of 1-33 on in late February the title race is over and the difference between only looking jaded in attack rather than all over is the winning run ends with a 0-0 rather than a defeat or score draw. I do agree that every new victory is a firmer grip on the premier league title.

Like most on here, I'm super-confident of City winning the league ... but ...

... us City fans, more than any, should know that it's not over until it's mathematically impossible to be caught.

In 2012, we were 8 points behind Utd with 6 to play ... in 2014 we were third behind Liverpool & Chelsea with 6 to play ... and partly due to us suddenly winning all our games, and partly due to the teams above us suddenly starting to make cock-ups each week ... we all know what happened.

So perhaps we shouldn't be too cocky just yet.

I get what u mean ,and form can drop of a cliff
But even in those examples (evidence)u give u are talking about the final half dozen or so games ?where itchy bum time can kick in !

we have 13 games left and are not conceding a shot on goal never mind a goal

it’s done

by the time the final furlong will come into play we will be in the winners enclosure with a nice gin and tonic !

I am more looking at the points total that will be required and its highly likely that the side finishing second will only get to 78 points at best.

Agree mostly, not sure on the itchy bum bit though.

Big few weeks coming up. West Ham at 12:30 will be a difficult match especially given the European fixture on weds.

I do feel we took it easy yesterday with that in mind.

United have Chelsea away weekend.
Leicester play Arsenal who have to travel back from Greece.
