Are we really? I thought we beat a decent Dortmund team on Wednesday and before the international break won three games without conceding.

The size of our lead allows us to rest players in league games. We took advantage of that by resting Kev, Foden and Dias, imo our three most important players and it’s not the end of the world that we lost.
Please refrain from letting facts getting in the way of a good flap

One defeat doesn't define a season. We were caught cold with a smash and grab after pep rested key players.

We will win the league as united won't win all 8 games fact. People need to relax. A good result on weds and it's all to play for.
Well it’s guaranteed,well I hope so

Losing a football game to a complete smash grab in an early kick off sandwiched between CL quarter finals.. and people are losing their shit.

Maybe I could understand if it were closer in the league or we had patchy results. But given it was the second time we have dropped points in 30+ games in all competitions seems a bit OTT.

Our form over a very long period has been unbelievable and today’s performance and result doesn’t change that in the slightest.

Villa and Palace then Chelsea at home are not gimmes. I'll be more than happy if we're 6 points clear at the end of that run.

No games are gimmies , the PL is competitive , but we have a strong squad and experience so should be able to get the necessary points to win at the end of the day.

Win the PL by whatever and I will be happy, and I expect it to be by more than 6 points.

Flap Flap I said weeks ago 80 will be enough we need just 6 more pts,Rags will get another 19 at the most and that's being generous 6 wins 1draw 1 defeat that would put them on 79.

We've built this commanding lead all season precisely so that we can do what we did today and take a gamble, would have been stupid not to take it. It was a free hit, we got the worst case scenario today but it doesn't actually leave us in any worse a position than we started the day. If united somehow win all their games we still need just 3 wins and a draw with Newcastle, Brighton, villa, Palace, Everton and Chelsea left to play. And if it means the likes of KDB, dias, Rodri, walker, foden and gundogan are all fresh and bang on it midweek and weekend because we've afforded them a little break after a hectic period then it was fantastic management

Utd play in order:

----Spurs (away)
----Burnley (Home)

Worse case scenario -they win both and are 8 pts behind having now played same about of games

------We then Play Villa (home) --------- utds corresponding fixture is Leeds (away)

Worse case scenario at this point is that we are 5 pts infront

-----We play Palace (away)-----Utd play Liverpool(At home)-------------------

Wrose case scenario we are now only 2 pts infront of them - to get to this point however they have to beat both Leeds (away) and Liverpool (home) -

----------Us home vs Chelsea---------------utd away vs Villa - a very hard game for us - Chelsea are improving all the time......Villa away aint easy either

----------Utd play Leicester on the Tuesday (home)--------------we play Newcastle away --------that should be 3 pts to us whereas Leicester are more than capable of beating utd

-------We then play Brighton (away) -----utd play Fulham (home)-------should be 3 pts to both teams

--------Last game of the season------we play Everton (home)..........utd play Wolves (away) - difficult games but we have the easier.

Therefore, the next two games they play and our next game are critical ---if they bet both spurs and Burnley (entirely possible), that puts a lot of pressure on our game against Villa - but then they play Leeds...hopefully they can do to them what they did to us.

Villa is away

There’s nothing wrong with being frustrated, pissed off, and annoyed about today’s defeat.

This was one of those games the vast majority of City fans, even those criticising the flappers, who thought City would win it quite easily, even though we all knew the fixture schedule. City don’t need to give the Rags any encouragement whatsoever.

I might be alone, but I wanted City to go into the game against Dortmund with a 17 point lead in the PL, if Spurs beat United, and all but have won the title.

Do I want City going into the CL semi-finals on the 27th of April having to rest players against Palace away after that? Do I want another Leeds scenario? No I don’t!
