Napoli is the best team in Italy right now and in Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia they have two of the best players in the world. Other than those two, they are mostly a solid team with no other real stand out super stars. Napoli really remind me of a better version of Brighton styelistically. Inter Milan are another really strong Italian team, mostly built on the sum of their parts rather than super stars.

If we dropped Premier League teams into Serie A, starting with City, how many would finish above Napoli or Inter?

I think City, Arsenal, Liverpool (rejuvenated midfield) would do it. I don't think Spurs, United, Chelsea or Newcastle would.

Fans of English clubs always assume we'd easily win a foreign league and then watch as our teams get knocked out of European competition by foreign teams we'd expect to beat.

Arsenal were knocked out of the Europa by Sporting who finished 4th in their league. Rags done by Sevilla who finished 12th. Spurs done by Milan. Liverpool battered by Real.

Italian teams are renowned for their tactical discipline and defensive style. Inter gave us a very difficult game in the CL final and had the better chances. Napoli play a more expansive football, but when it came to the CL knockouts were done by Milan who played a more traditional Italian style. Inter then did for them.

We'd win Serie A. We can break down defensive teams and we are very good defensively ourselves. I'd give Liverpool an outside chance of winning it. No other team in England would.

You can't really compare getting knocked out of a cup competition with a 38 game season though

The shittest team in the Premier League knocked us out of the League Cup last season.

The reason winning a treble is so rare and so celebrated is because the best teams don't always win all the best competitions

I agree to a point, there is only really us, Liverpool and possibly Arsenal that I would put money on.

Bit arrogant and subjective, but drop any of the top teams into Serie A and they could win the title
City
Arsenal
Liverpool
Chelsea
Spurs
Newcastle
Brighton
Aston Villa
West Ham
How many of these teams have the mettle to handle a title race ? We saw with Arsenal last season, they had 50 points in the first half, but only 34 points in the second half and that too with just the PL to concentrate on. Spurs are known to be serial bottlers. Chelsea can't even put 2 wins together. The rest haven't shown anything to even come into the discussion.
