It's open season ATM!

From the Munchens and their non-stop nursery rhymes, to the so called experts on every TV channel, radio station and newspaper and across the message boards from other football supporters. (Villa, etc)

When is this onslaught going to end?

we're barmy ,
we're off are fuckin' heads.."

We are also Vogue at the moment and we are all going to have to put up with this for a long time. I am sure we can cope,we have benn through everything, thats what being a blue is all about.

it wont .
we are the new chelsea, the team everyone's jealous of.
even if we win the prem and champs league in years to come it wont stop until,
some other team gets taken over,
and ends up wealthier than us...
and even then the rag biased media in this country will always have it in for us.
lets just get used to it.... fuck em.

hopefully not for a long time it, means we are in the thoughts of the footballing world, hopefully within the next five years we may have a trophy or two to go with it. as they say there is no such thing as bad publicity.

To me, they can see the bigger, longer picture and are running scared!!!

Teams around us know that we will get there in the end. We as fans (a section) seem to be getting more childish than a spoilt brat kicking up a fuss on Boxing day.

We need to stick together a bit more, a big signing would settle the nerves of a lot of fans. But Hughes needs to get squad players in and ship out the trouble makers and let the owners try and get the Glamour stars.

Bridge or Ball, for me that's a very good start. One down, let's see who's next???

We are the talk of the town...There´s enough hatred and jealousy directed at us that we could fill a canal.

The sweet thing is of course WHY we are so hated and envied. Would we want it any other way?..Hardly!

To be honest, we are the joke at the moment. The big news story, the 'wooaah, have you heard about...' at the moment. I'm not saying that in a bad way, I'm saying, the spotlight is on us at the moment.

It's only words, it's good fun being the centre of attention actually. On Talksport today, someone was asking why the media were so against us. Ian Wright came back and said to be honest, when you're the richest club in the world and you get beat 3-0 by Nottingham Forest, you're going to get press attention, and it ain't going to be positive is it?

Count yourself lucky young man that you don't support teams like Blackburn, Bolton, Everton, Middlesbrough or Fulham. Some of the dullest clubs in the country. Nothing happens. They get a mention every so often in the press, usually about some mundane result.

Remember, todays newspapers are tomorrows toilet rolls! And at least when you read the papers you just have to turn the paper over to the back page to get the latest City news!

I'm loving it. When we do get it right and it all comes together it will be all the more sweeter.

I could take it until I died to a ripe old age! I get the piss taken of meh on my guild forums for supporting City as well as for other reasons ... scum aint got shit to bring. They couldn't bring it if they were fcking santa with a sack full of toys!

Nothing new. Remember the flak in the old third division? As soon as we start to translate wealth into results it will fade away. Grin and bear it. As usual.

Don't shout at me, I'm new here.

"There's only one thing worse than being talked about, and that's not being talked about," said Oscar Wilde, and he was right. Rather this than the dark days when you had to dig through about 5 pages on teletext to find anything about City.

And although I don't much enjoy being the butt of all the humour as we are at the moment, which is hardly surprising given recent events; when (not if) we start to see the benefits on the field of being minted I'll be happy to smirk smugly at the abuse rather than be everybody's second favourite team because we're funny. The dark side may be laughing now, but they're scared - and they're right to be.

Bring it on!

Edit - bloody hell, first post and somebody's beaten me to the same quote!
