I was trying not to post since yesterdays result but hey ho I just had a pint.

Why oh why is it that we buy a player who is GREAT untill they put on a City shirt?
I mean, Elano goes cause hes shit and causes a load of trouble and yet he is first choice for brazil?
Bridge is 2nd choice for england and then puts on a City shirt?
Benjami a goal scoring god at pompey but then puts on a City shirt?
Robinho one of the best, then puts on a city shirt?

The list could go on and on.

Im really fooked off at the moment, all this money spent and we cannot beat a championship side with 10 men!
I remember meeting John Bond and asking him why he spent £1,000,000 on Trevor Francis, and he told me he was the best player in the world.
I should have told him: Yeh untill he puts a City shirt on!( I would of but in my defence I was only 9years old!)

So why when I put MY city shirt on (39years old) can I play like maradona or when my kids put on the shirts they play like maradona(1.5years & 2.5years)

Maybe we should sign the fans as our next players.

Really should look at Benjani record, why Real wanted to trade a left forward for a right winger and Robinho record at Real was poor, Elano may be first choice for Brazil but other than galatasaray wanted him, as he is so inconsistant. Biggest mystery in the world is how a poor player pulls on the Brazil shirt and suddenly turns into a world beater

Its what happens when players move for the CASHOLA. They think that money will buy them more success on the field, but they get complaicent, enjoy their black american express cards and buying that 7th ar and forget that they get paid to play football for city rather than for jsut turning up

elano never been at a top club and never will be
benjani wanted by the mighty sunderland, no top club has ever been in for him
robinho now playing in brazil as no one else decent wants him

they aint top class players

Wait till Mancini gets his sytle and ideas properly into the team, we will be hard to beat and score lots of goals.....just be patient.

Sorry but Elano is not necessarily first choice in what is a poorish (by Brazilian standards) national team. Robinho was average at Real and has never been World Class in his life, but he's young and there's time yet. Bridge has been good for us without being exceptional. You have to remember he was 2nd choice left back a few years ago but may not be now at 28/29. Benjani couldn't hit a barn door from 5 paces the season before he joined us (had a decent season for the first half before he came to us though) and has never been prolific for anyone. I think you are clutching at straws here.
