How will City do ....according to the Mirror experts (LOL)

I think United will have a real fight on their hand to finish in the top 4.... at least that's what I am hoping for?

I seem to remember a few people saying that 12 months ago

They've mainly all predicted the 3 that came up to go back down again!
Anyone who describes Lawrenson as a "football expert" should be sued under the Trades Descriptions Act.

That's so lazy to predict all the promoted sides will go down when it has rarely happened (if ever). Cardiff are a decent side and Hull have Steve Bruce as manager. He's not the greatest but he knows enough to keep them up.

Newcastle and Sunderland could easily self-destruct and Stoke could be in trouble.

Don't see what's "lol" about it (see thread title), that's fewer people thinking United will win it than in the thread in the General Football Forum on here.

Don't see anything wrong with that. Chelsea have underperformed for years considering the squad they have, which they'll most likely be adding to, they'll have a top manager who knows the Premier League, meanwhile his rivals both have new managers as well neither of whom has ever won anything in over ten years of management in European football, and one of whom has never even worked in English football. Those are good reasons to predict a Chelsea title. I'm certainly not anticipating a City title win this year.
I am. At a canter (ie before the last two minutes)

-- Thu Jun 20, 2013 3:11 pm --

There are probably a higher percentage of United fans on here to be fair.

I am quite suprised how many picked Bayern Munich to win the CL again, no team hvs ever won back to back in the CL era and I still see it staying that way for a few more years.

The current Bayern team is unreal but I personally think the Barcelona team of 09 were better than them, even they could not win it back to back and people say they were the greatest club side ever.

It won't be helpful to Bayern if Ribery goes to prison, along with Benzema...

-- Thu Jun 20, 2013 7:37 am --

Newcastle Football Club (Kinnear's words, not mine) look likely to implode in spectacular fashion. Llambias quits, maybe Graham Carr to follow. So much for Mike Ashley's corporate ethos of 'creative violence'........

Before any predictions are made we really need to see who is coming in and who is going. WE defo need another striker, as I, for see Carlos going if not now then in January, so we will need to bring 1 in for him. That is unless J. Guidetti is given a chance to prove himself during the tour games. A back up goalie as well will be needed if Pantilimon leaves. We will also need another CB to replace Lescott should he go as well.

Shocking how few mentions we got for the cups. We have the best 11 in the league on paper and know how to beat the big teams. Should be favourites for the cups more so than the league

Thats not like you PB, you're normally all over the legislation. Any Consumer Protection connoiseur knows that the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 was binned in May 2008 in favour of the the The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 however trade advertisements that are not mere advertising "puffs" would be better dealt with by the The Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008. Additionally the TDA was a regulatory piece of legislation under which bodies could prosecute offenders resulting in fines of up to Schedule D (£5000) from summary prosecution or up to 2 years imprisonment and a fine under indictment. The act of suing someone is dealt with mostly by the small claims or civil courts in relation to offences such as libel for defamation tort or damages.
In any event they should just shoot the scruffy no nowt twat. ; )
