How worried are you about the CL?

Snap, I fall into this category, soon as we face one of the big three we are curtains, I don't get this shit about getting past the quarters as something to celebrate- you celebrate when you win it.
As soon as most teams face the big three they are curtains and in some cases UK teams are curtains before they meet the big three. What a stupid comment. If we qualify tonight and draw Wolfsburg or Benfica and we qualify for the semi finals who knows what may happen. If fact even if we dont draw them who knows what may happen? An early sending off in the first leg, we win 4-0 and the second leg is pretty much redundant

Like if we get past Kiev (which we 100% should do now), how worried are you about us coming up against a world class side given our form against half decent Premier League sides. Or do we have it in us to surprise the best? Genuine thoughts...
It's a free punt if we get Barca/Munich as apart from struggling into a place for next season there's fuck all else to play for.

I fully expect Munich next (if we don't balls it up tonight), media arses will love it.

I'd be more worried about having to play the mighty Villa or Norwich than mediocre Barcelona or Bayern

We will get Benfica in 1/8, then PSG in 1/4 and we will play Bayern in the final. print screen this comment.

It appears our players cannot raise their game for the Premiership anymore , the nucleus of our side have a couple of titles under their belt , which has made the players complacent , so hopefully they will approach the Champs League with a modicum of hunger an desire , and surprise us all , we need to stuff Kiev , to go into the derby game with some momentum so we can put the last nail in the Rags coffin.

I'm not really that bothered about the CL. The probability is that we'll get one of the big three in the Q/F anyway, if we don't fuck up tonight (and there's no guarantee of that not happening). I'm more bothered about our, frankly, shite domestic form.

I agree, the league position is all i'm worried about

Yes I will , it will mean we have a good chance of qualifying for next seasons CL- where we will have a chance of winning it unlike this year under this clueless tosser we have in charge.
I think you're being a bit childish. You're changing your argument. Winning a last 16 tie isn't worth celebrating because we'll still be 5 games from winning the competition but winning a league game is worth celebrating because it might help us qualify for the same competition next year where we'll be 13 or 15 games from winning it.

Realistically we've got pretty much no chance of winning the Champion's League. We should get past Kiev tonight, they'd need to score a minimum of 3 goals at the Etihad to make it through and I just don't see that scenario happening, but our chances of lifting the trophy are slim to none. We might get lucky and draw one of the "lesser" sides in the quarter final, I'd snap your hand off to be offered Wolfsburg or Benfica, and I'd probably take Atletico too (assuming they make it past PSV). If we draw Real, Barca, Bayern or PSG then you'd have to say our days are numbered. There's nothing we've done all season to suggest we're remotely capable of getting past a truly top side. We've not beaten any of the top sides in the Premier League, not even once, and even in Europe, when facing a decent side like Juventus, we lost home and away. We'll lose to the first good side we play. This season has been awful.

This season has been awful, but this squad has got some class players in it still and on there day could knick a win against the big teams. If we draw Wolfsburg next round and it's very much game on.

Your missing the point, we won't win it this year like we haven't under this manager in the previous two seasons, Pep(who has won it twice) will get us nearer than this clown will.

Is that a bit clearer for you?

I think we have the ability to beat any team if we turn up and so far we seem to turn up best in the CL. The only team I fear is Barcelona, the rest are at least beatable. It's all to play for in this compared to the shambles in the PL. Obviously we have yet to turn up and play tonight, it could so easily go wrong and often has this year!
