How would season ticket holders react to compulsory CL home tickets?

Like they have at the rags and Arsenal.

If you're a season ticket holder then you're automatically debited for the Champions League games when the time comes for payment.

Edit - And if the price of the season tickets were reduced would this soften the blow?

I'd be severely displeased. How do they deal with you not paying? i.e. Your card is declined.

Would not be happy, I pay my money to watch us try and win the "Premier" not the "Chumps" League...

I travel from Dover so most mid week games are out. I try to make one CL game each season but if enforced to by all CL games I would have to do ditch my Season card. Result: net loss for City

A hypothetical situation: City reach the Champions League Final in a few seasons and you're offered a ticket. Would you decline?

The attitude is a defence mechanism for some. When we're doing well in it many will be begging for final tickets. Ever remember anyone speaking about our 08/09 Europa run in such away?

I can see it happening. A price freeze and bringing in compulsory purchases at a discounted rate would reward the hard core fans that don’t miss games.
