i treated myself to the HTC Incredible S yesterday as i wanted a decent phone for a change, after having something that just makes calls. Got it off Buymobilephones.net, which is a great site and right now theyve got special offers on. anyway, it was a toss up between the desire hd or the incredible s, and just went for the newer one, and from what ive heard it is better and not as bulky which for me is better.
has anyone got one? what's it like?

got the desire and its is the dogs bollox apart from the battery life

I thought battery was shite at first, I was only getting 24 hours from a full charge so did a bit of googling. Turn GPS and bluetooth off, unless you are using them and it is fine. Having wifi and mobile network on does make a difference but not that much, I leave them on all time. Use it quiet a lot for internet during the day, and power ok now for about 4 days.

Phone itself is quality, so glad I went for HTC ahead of Blackberry or I-phone

I can't wait till my contract runs out and I can get the HTC Inspire 4G it's fuckin quality and on comparison with the i-Phone 4 it's just as good and offers the same essential apps along with voice activated google maps.

FUCKIN' TECH WANK!!

Considering upgrading to the Desire when I'm due one. Heard all good things apart from the battery life but I believe there is ways to make it last a bit longer. Not got a problem with charging it regularly but it's probably annoying to see the battery going down and having to charge it every single night.

Anyone else got one that could do a mini review for me?

I got a nokia N8, mainly for the 12mp camera. I've heard a few people complain about the symbian OS on it but I've not had any problems. The problem is when you start to look into it you get so many contrasting ratings on each handset that you don't really know what to go for, I narrowed it down to the N8 and a desire, the extra camera/video camera quality along with the HDMI socket straight to my telly coupled with the poor battery life of the desire made me go for the N8. Only time will tell if I made the right choice but no probs as yet.

My missus has a HTC Desire....it's her phone through work, and on her fourth in twelve months. Whenever she goes abroad, it locks her out and cannot be reset, resulting in a new handset each time....the manufacutrer say its a 'system fault'......beware if goin on hols

I got the new Nokia N8 too.....superb phone.

mint phone , but a twat to fix when they go wrong apparently , i'm on my third desire as i stood on one and they replaced it cos they couldn't fix it , then it wouldn't charge so they replaced that cos it would have took too long to fix. don't like the hd one though , it's too big.
