Huddersfield (H) Post Match Thread

Well that was alright....

Crazy coming away happy like that yet still feeling a little bit gutted that it wasn’t more. What a spoilt bastard I am!

Wow and look who wasn’t In the first 11. To be losing badly at half time knowing who we could bring on will give teams nightmares

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "I never saw Sergio like right now. When he come here in the past he was always at a high level. He scored three goals but not just that - he created chances and passes and movement and he connected really well with Gabriel Jesus."

On Benjamin Mendy: "Hopefully he can be fit for the rest of the season. He gives us the opportunity to attack in different ways."

On David Silva, whose son Mateo - who spent five months in hospital after being born prematurely - was at the game: "His son fought a lot to be here. Wow, the first game of Mateo here - the free-kick goal was amazing. Mateo came in the locker room with us, it was a good moment.

The beauty is that we dont have to be rigid in the way we play. and we can change it depending who and where we play. Have to say i thought Aguero was not what Pep required at first. In the first season pep wanted more from him and was vocal about it. It just shows we have a manager who can take even those considered amongst the very best and take them to another level. Aguero today played with the commitment quality and class that i thought was possibly behind him certainly Jesus will still have to wait to become our no1 striker, although to be fair Jesus played well today despite missing 2-3 very good chances

Fantastic performance, hard to single out a motm after that.
Thought the Huddersfield player could and should have seen red for that really nasty attempt to injure Silva on the touchline.
Great free kick from Merlin and how much energy has Mendy got...non stop all game.
Eddie's pass to Kun was just wow .
Back to where we belong..top of the league

Aguero is a scary proposition knowing he could be fitter and more free-moving than ever before.

Gundogan superb, did everything right, hipefully he can afford Ferna a rest when required.

Both Silvas top class.

Mendy....beast.

I thought Jesus was superb too,a very mature and industrious performance rounded off by a lovely goal.
