So just a warning for everyone, I'm going to this one. Last season we went to just the 5 games saw only 5 goals , W2, D2, L1.
we can’t assume that we can score 3 + goals every game tho , I’m happy with the 3 pts even if we only score 1 tbh , would rather we got on a streak like last season and make a points buffer early into the season to take some pressure off the lads

I think that's very harsh on us. If we tried to take you on you'd pump us 10-1 again. I agree it's not pretty the ultra defensive style but we have to do it I'm afraid. We managed to get a point at the Etihad (unbelievable) that contributed massively to our survival. To call us a disgrace is very unfair, we gave you a real challenge...and I'm sure Pep enjoys the challenge on some level.
You nearly nicked in the end at the Etihad

Let’s hope the ref doesn’t kill it like last years first home game
I see "Blobby" Madley has retired - only 32 yo.
Wasn't he the ref who sent Walker off against Everton last season at home - maybe our first game ?.

We were quite unlucky in the first half vs Chelsea, I was totally bemused at half time that the score was 2-0.
Second half they completely dominated and we barely had a sniff.

We had a decent preseason, managed to comfortably beat Lyon and Leipzig (also lost to Accrington to show how meaningless preseason is!)

As for tactics, expect the blockade. It got us 5 points vs the top six last season, which helped keep us up. Against the other 13 sides, it will be our usual high press...hopefully with the addition of some better wingers we should offer more of a goal threat this season. Our strikers are fine, they just have to feed off scraps (due to poor wingers).

Thanks for your reply Wagner - interesting.

Hopefully not another frustrating borefest. We need an early goal in this one then the floodgates to open. And no pissing about getting complacent at the back and letting them score!

Think Sterling and Mahrez will start again. Better at unlocking tight defences.
These are the type of games where Mahrez will shine imo. Looked a bit overwhelmed against Chelsea and arsenal but hopefully the next few games will bring him some confidence as he’ll have lots more touches on the ball.

EDERSON
WALKER STONES OTIMENDI MENDY
FERNANDINHO
BERNARDO SILVA
MARHEZ AGUERO STERLING

Chelsea was quite lucky 1st half.
Chavs were clinical and that's our task as well.

Sarri called Hudds a physical team, and maybe he thought about how their defenders 'handle' opponent players in their box.

Have a look at 6:10 when 3 defenders holding/catching their man at the same time!
We'll see the same on Sunday for sure...
I hope Marriner is prepared.

Will take time as Leicester's counter-attacking style and our style are polar opposites but he definitely has enough quality to have a great season.
