Its all way too early to start claiming these guys are the beez neez.

Consistency is the name of the game for us.

Blackburn away is just the perfect fixture to see where we are up to, can we grind out a result? then get a run going?

If we do, say over the next 10 games, and Big Phil keeps scoring then we can say MH and Phil are the bolox.

until then, the jury is still out for me on both men.

Prediction - Blackburn 1 City 1........................... then the transfers!!!!!!

I agree with you mate.

It was dumb to write Caceido off after 5mins and 30secs of football and it's equally dumb to hail him as the new messiah after 3 games and 4 goals.

As for Hughes, let him finish higher than Sven and I'll be happy and hopeful that next season we can finish 5th or above.

Knee jerk reactions are pretty stupid in the cold light of day.

You're not wrong there pasta

I'll try and get photos of them to you asap!!!!!!

There is a huge difference between the two.

Is there?

Both young and relatively new to the game in the capacity they are now working.

Both have shown decent form elsewhere but so far only glimpses at City.

Both have been slagged to fuck by a lot of fans.

Both are currently being thought of slightly different thanks in most part to yesterdays game.

i know its too early to make a proper judgement but maybe and i mean maybe, hughes is doing with caicedo what he did with santa cruz at blackburn.
Hughes gave santa cruz a fresh opportunity after he was being left out at bayern, he gave him the chance to prove himself again and increased his confidence by putting faith in him. This is similar to phil, he was bought by sven but never given a proper chance. now hughes has worked with him in training and is giving him a run in the team with phil repaying this with 4 goals in 3 games.
im not saying caicedo will have as big an impact as santa did but he is younger and if hughes keeps working with him we have a quality striker on our hands here(Y)

I'm afraid there is no master plan as far as hughes and big phil
is concerned, played phil as last resort and got lucky, I am not
anti hughes but i always taught he should have given phil a run out,
you can not judge players in training and like a lot of city supporter's
made there minds up about him without ever seeing him play regularly.
2 starts and the rest as a sub, get out there son and make a name for yourself
attitude, no bedding period, hit the ground running or you are a heap of shit
mentality. yet same people have decieded that the Boj is going to be next big thing
based on what, looked good on you tube.

Hughes has had far more experience as a manager than Big Phil has as a player.
