Richards claims Hughes has lost the dressing room

Micah Richards claimed Manchester City boss Mark Hughes had "lost the dressing room" during their bitter training-ground bust-up on Friday.

The pair clashed when Hughes accused the defender of laughing during a team meeting.

And Richards was furious that his gaffer then labelled him a "f****** d***" in front of shocked team-mates.

Richards responded by telling Hughes that none of his players liked him, before angrily storming off.

Hughes, who is set to be on his way out of Eastlands in the summer, summoned Richards to his office at the end of the session, when the player again voiced his anger at being singled out in front of his pals.

People Sport understands Hughes ran out of patience with Richards some time ago and recommended he should be sold in the summer.

The Welshman believes the big defender is not a diligent trainer while Richards is known to be unhappy with the manager's hard-line approach.

Arsenal and Aston Villa are keen on the England international..
