We are people defending this clown? Can anybody who watched last night game honestly say our massive investment has been worthwhile? It's not that all of the players we have are rubbish....it's the way they are organised (dis-organised) to play. Even our best player Ireland said we need to be braver......who sent the team out to just survive? Who gives this team confidence? We have no confidence away from home because our manager can't not fix the problem that has been with us since Aug.

I don't hate Hughes, I just think he's below par for the job he has. The buck stops at the manager and I'm sorry the results over the season are not impressive. We are in the results business people and they haven't been good enough. I'm sorry but if we are going to achieve and seriously challenge the top teams and overtake them we need to have ruthless aggression.

My biggest worry is that the Sheihks' will lose patience and Hughes will blow our golden opportunity to really achieve something special.

Let's stop messing around, sack this chump and get Mourinho!

It's not even that you want Hughes out that annoys me, it's the reasons you give, they're just utter shite, as for sack the chump and get Mourinho, how do you guarentee he we could come, you can't.
Get behind the team and the manager and if he does get sacked say I told you so and we can all not care.

So Robinho is our only world class player.
But Ireland is better in your opinion meaning he must be world-class too.
Onuoha isn't our best defender, and Hughes may have thought about getting rid of him, but where is he now? Jo didn't offer anything whilst he was here and loaning him out was the best thing to do, and any fan who defends Hughes doesn't understand football, it just sums up a truly shite counter-arguement.

And no, I didn't say your not entitled to your opinion, of course you are, this is a forum, but what's a forum without a bit of friendly discussion. :)
 
We're all disappointed, but in reality we were never going to progress to the final.

The last 8 teams are all very good teams and that showed last night. This UEFA run has seen us play some very average sides and struggle.

City are a good team, but we don't defend properly or well enough to progress against good teams who will punish mistakes. Showed last night, their third goal was sloppy from the time Benjani gave the ball away up until Richards watch their lad cross the ball.

However, again we have rode our luck in this competition and it's not over because on our day we can turn anyone over in that stadium. (well not everyone but you know what I mean)

We were totally outclassed though. That's like saying if Accrington won the CL wouldn't they be brilliant?

I wasnt going to come on the forum today because I knew it would be full of negative arseholes and I wasnt disappointed!
