The Sun is reporting that Mark Hughes is guaranteed to still be manager at the atart of next season - si this a good or bad thing? Let's see what everyone thinks...I'm still not sure that he will be there come August whatever is said right now.

And what about tonight against Aalborg? Suddenly 2-0 doen't look so great. Is it on TV in the UK? I'm overseas and gonna see it on www.omnisport.tv.

It is a good thing (if true). We need stability. Unfortunately, if we don't win the UEFA cup, I think he's gone. The owners will be looking for some quick reward for their investment and a top8/top10 finish is not what they'll be after (er, IMO!). And yes, the game is on channel 5 tonight.

It's a good thing.

He's doing a decent job, we're on course to beat Svens wanktastic league position anyhow.

He's building a team for the future. He wants us to succeed in the future, long term, be a real force not just a one trophy fly by night bag of shit which we'd be if we flirted him off like we flirt everyone else off after one season.

It's a story from the Sun, thus who knows if its true, from everything they have written over the last 2 months I STRONGLY doubt it(although that doesn't mean he won't be here next year), it's just that the Sun has no inside contacts at the club and generally knows fuck all.

with that i totally agree.good post.

Our owners are very intelligent when it comes to the P.R side of things.

Chelsea have never really recoverd from their handling of ranieri, the whole of europe turned against them for the way they handled him.

They know that if we get to a semi-final and/or finish 8th then its aswell as weve done in a long while

On that basis they cant sack him. Theyd get even more stick in the press.

If he ever goes they will have given Hughes plenty of rope to hang himself beforehand.

The same thing is also being reported on SSN.

Im not sure a M.H. myself, if he will turn out to be the messiah we are after or not, i really hope he his, altghough if i have to make a decision right this minute i would say no.

but we have had to much instability at this club so i would give him at least till mid november 2009 if things are looking better then i would keep him, but if before then things go seriously tits up then he would have to go.
