Hulk?

Seen him play once for Porto but to be honest I don't really know much about it him. His name has come up many times in this forum which led me to be curious.

What does he have going for him?
How is his finishing, pace, skill, creativity, strength, tenacity, workrate, and ability in the air? (All various components of a good striker)

Have we been linked to him before?

Is he really that good, because to be honest, besides this forum, I've not heard much of him, but then again I don't follow Portuguese football.


Random question haha: Can this guy send in screamers? I was only wondering because that's just a little personal wish I have for a City striker. Score from anywhere, rattle defenses. You tell me if this is the guy.

He can score screamers :D But i dont think we are in for him. Because Alexis Sanchez looks to be the target instead. If Sanchez signed for another team. Then i could see us targeting him.

But i prefer Sanchez and i think City does too.

Yeah, but what then if Tevez leaves? What if Dzeko never fits in the Prem. league? I don't even want to ask a what if about Mario, as he's too unpredictable.

Could he be the guy? We've got the money for anyone.

But to answer your question. Porto is probably not looking at selling him. But if he wants to move to a bigger club, and they offer enough money, they'll probably let him go.

As per style, he is a bit like Tevez, but has a better shot, is a better dribbler, and he is faster. Not to mention he is left footed, but can use his right well enough. He is very selfish (like Tevez). Goes it alone often, but when in the mood, has a pretty pass touch. Could be a hit or miss. He wasn't very productive early on at Porto but grew into the role and this season, he has been spectacular.

Started out on the right in a 3 man strike force with Varela and Falcao. But Falcao got injured so he moved to the middle and some young Argentine kid now plays on the left with Varela moving right. Or some permutation of that. Has scored more goals this season, but has cooled off of late and Porto is head and shoulders better than the rest of the league. So it is a bit hard to judge how good he will be when he is not the best player on the best team in the league.

But his forceful style, and never give up attitude is why he is often mentioned as a replacement for Tevez.

I think he is very Tevezish in his play. I think with Balo and Dzeko seeming to be quite simular players as they are really both targetmen he would be a great variation to the attack if we need it. Hope we get Sanchez and Hulk that would be awesome!
