Did he know the young person?I read somewhere that Clive was visibly upset on the News at Ten last night. 'Tears in his eyes'.
Good lad Clive. Sympathy/empathy for a friend obviously.

When you say his daughters stopped him committing suicide that wasn't a physical stop but they were the only thing he had to live for is that correct?I am not doing any kind of trumps game , schoffields daughters stopped him comitting suicide when the stuff came out about him , neither should be using their depression as a reason for doing wrong , it does a diservice to the millions with clinical depression who dont do risky behaviour
Then don't read between the lines
She’s said herself that she’s been watching Schofield every day for 20 years so probably feels a closer connection to him. The fact is most of what Schofield has said or done on screen was highly scripted and was a projection put across to the viewer of what the stations wanted them to see. It’s all manufactured shite wrapped up in a neat parcel designed to keep the masses entertained.Fair enough - you just seem to be a lot more defensive of Schofield than of Edwards
Precisely. Neither Edwards or his family have presented his pre-existing mental health issues as mitigation in defence of what are still alleged actions on his part. Edwards' wife has merely issued a statement on his behalf making clear that he has been hospitalised and asking that the matter be treated with some sensitivity. He hasn’t used his depression as a reason for doing wrong, all that’s happened is his wife has released a statement saying he’s currently in hospital and will be responding to the allegations when he’s better.
What is a disservice is people thinking he’s used it as a reason when he clearly hasn’t and is also currently in hospital being treated for it.

Phillip Schofield: 'My daughters are the only reason I am still alive!'
Phillip Schofield has been left feeling suicidal since his 'This Morning' exit and insisted that his daughters are the only reason he is still here.uk.style.yahoo.com

Headline: "Wife names Edwards".Precisely. Neither Edwards or his family have presented his pre-existing mental health issues as mitigation in defence of what are still alleged actions on his part. Most telling though is how news stories of this sort bring out the very worst in people; this forum being no different. In the absence of a definitive version of events, the usual suspects are only too keen to appoint themselves as moral arbiters sitting in judgement of others. I note that numerous posters have accused Edwards' wife of effectively throwing her husband under a bus by releasing said statement (a complete mischaracterisation, wilful or not) and that the unnamed 'person' is male (an assumption at best). Still, as I always say, why let the facts get in the way of a good story (or should that be pile-on). Let's face it, the Sun never do.
Yes to state they stopped him suggests they took the pills out of his hand or turned the tap off. There was no attempt to stop just a thought.Did you even read the story you posted?
