There's been some talk lately about the hard working Hwang currently on loan at Wolves and I noticed there wasn't an actual thread, honestly I've seen nowt of him for Wolves this season but heard he embarrassed VVD and has meant to have impressed overall, with his good Prem start in mind and him only being on loan there along with reports linking him here and elsewhere I've started this thread.
It looks like he's done well at first glance but a closer inspection at his goal record elsewhere suggests his effectiveness in front of goal is terrible despite 4 in 9 for Wolves, at RB Leipzig he scored 3 in 29 appearance all of those goals coming in domestic cup games, he did pretty well in Austria with a really impressive creative output where he also worked well with Haaland for a while too but that standard isn't so great, and when you look at his loan spell at HSV (Hamburg) in Germany's 2nd tier he scored just 2 goals in 20 league appearances, albeit for a very poor underwhelming Hamburg team it doesn't sound too good at all.
The one positive aspect everyone mentions though is his tenacious work rate I've seen him for Salzburg/Leipzig/Korea and he defo does put a shift in, is that really enough though to be considered a backup option here a total nuisance to come on for the last 20 minutes and cause a bit of havoc with our own pressing style, he is a truly unselfish player with high energy and quick who enjoys pressing he created a lot while in a dominant Red Bull Salzburg team, is this a potentially cheap-ish backup option for Pep who would love him just for his effort as an example to our other attacking players along with Jesus, as if to say this is our minimum effort required what these 2 give us or are his links to us just a complete load of bollocks? Either way it's here so if anyone wants to comment on his Wolves loan good or bad and talk about his links to us while there then have your say.
