Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
50K including the social club seems a good deal. Good luck to them

We are delighted to announce that Hyde FC supporters are proceeding with the purchase of the Club from owner John Manship

The Club will be incorporated into a Community Trust run by management team, and supervised by a Board of Trustees, both elected by the membership.

The Trust has agreed to pay £50,000 for the Club including the Social Club, and John Manship has agreed to write off the loan he has provided to the Club over the past four years which is now approaching £500,000.

“The supporters have always been amazing at Hyde” says John. “and I really want to give them the chance to do their own thing. I have every confidence in them.”

The Trust is now in the process of being formed.

HELP US RAISE FUNDS
We need to raise the £50,000 as soon as we can to allow us to make decisions for next season so we are in the process of immediate fundraising. Any supporters willing to make pledges of money should contact Allan Kenyon - kenyonallan@hotmail.com

Good luck to everyone involved. I hope you make a fantastic success of it.

And well done to John Manship for writing off the loan. It's a great gesture.

I see they have returned to being called Hyde United after the ok from the FA, did they drop the united in there name due our involvment with the EDS playing there & the money spent on the ground etc... & now we have jumped ship to CFA they change it back?

Did they miss out a decimal point in the asking price? Only joking, good for them.

My sentiments exactly.

Too easy to denigrate the good in football.
