It's staggering to me that this programme has reached it's 23rd anniversary. But there's obviously a demand for it. TV executives are generally not thick (though you do wonder at times; Rob and Romesh, anyone?). Said execs are not going to keep running a programme that there's little demand for. But give me a decent documentary or film, any time. The World at War is currently showing on the Yesterday channel at 5pm on weekdays. For me, the best TV programme ever made*.
