I am Glad......

3 of those -Boj/Petrov/Jonno are nothing to do with training.

1- Ned has a long history of never being able to string a run of games together so I fail to see your point.

Yeah, I thought you might.

I seriously doubt a lot of the injuries I keep hearing of, particulary from our Brazillian pals..... (Jo and Elano particulary) My whole point is that the players who are anti Hughes are not putting the effort in on the pitch, nothing to do with training. Also can you show me this injury list table so I can check out your facts?

Add Sweep to it also.

Scott Parker was found to be the second best player in the country for December 2006 by Sky Sports and Opta Index.
Scott Parker has represented England at every level from Under-15 to the senior team.

Better player than Hamman, better than Fernandes. More of an influence than Elano.

Therefore he would improve what we already have.

we lost in that manner today. Not that we have failed AGAIN against so called lesser opposition in another cup competition. I am glad because it has made some fans realise that some so called heroes could not give a damn about the club we spend so much time and money supporting.

Yes MH made mistakes today and has previously but it can not disguise the fact that certain members of that team today think they are bigger than the club and are putting their own ego's ahead of the good of the club.

I can not help thinking that certain players want him out, I have no proof other than their shite performances and consistent rumours in the press about bust up's from certain individuals. We all know Hughes reputation for making his teams very fit and training them very hard and some players seem too lazy to want to adapt aznd better themselves……look what some extra fitness work (off his own back) did for Steven Ireland, Sven obviously missed this part of training out.

So I can not wait for the day that Elano and his soft arse pals feck off to sunnier climes and I make no apologies for welcoming 'Hughes buys' and YES that includes Bellamy (a proven Premiership scorer) and Parker (a proven Premiership midfielder) because on today’s evidence the team is rotten to the core-not the manager.

Sure, players can get a manager sacked and today's performance points that way, but there are several possible explanations for it, including the injury list, resentment of harder training/tactics, squad weakness and unsettlement caused by the likely influx of new players.

On the other hand, once again I was baffled by some of MHs decisions:

Why was Fernandes on the pitch when he's proved himself to be all activity and no action?

Why was he moved to left wing where he can't play, when Garrido was on the bench?

Why is MH sticking to one up front - it hasn't worked for us consistently all season?

Why does he persevere with that poisonous Elano?

Why doesn't he give Weiss a go on the right?

We have potentially got two good wingers in Garrido and Zabaleta who could, I think, work well in a 4-4-2, but this is never tried.

No balance - no success.

Bellamy will get goals. A player with pace, goes past defenders. Just it wait and see. I'd rather him than RSC, anyday.

It's all about opinions. You've got yours. And I've got mine. No one is right all of the time. Time is the only thing we can be certain of. That is the key in all of this.

Shhhh don't upset the anto Hughes lot...... they still think Kaka is a realistic target for a relegation threatened club, who can't fill our stadium and have not won owt for 30+ years!

Spot on Brooklands....

This result could be just what was needed. Hughes needs time, get HIS players in. That team today was basically the team that that struggled at the back end of last season. Bellamy, Parker, Bridge etc, are proven players in this league. A few quality foreign imports help. This was a wake up call. Things WILL get better!

Jeez. Don't tell me there is the slightest chance that I could turn up at CoMS and see worse than I witnessed today. It surely couldn't get worse!

With that username i would have thought you must have seen lots worse.

Not today, I didn't, but according to the GMR commentary, he only moved to two in the second half.

Not true?

There's no pattern at all in that injury list to suggest that the training methods being used by Hughes are side-lining players. Bojinov? That started before MH turned up, and is beginning to look like something a scan should have picked up before he signed. Onouha, talented enough and I hope he stays, but he seems to be the sort of runner who pulls himself to pieces when he puts the power in and tries to run that bit too fast. Johnson, the groin stuff started under Sven if not before, he's a runner who strains, he doesn't have the stride of an athlete. Robinho, presumeably kicked at some point. I suppose MH could be blamed for the injection if he pushed for it, they're always the wrong course to take. Evans, again a match injury. Benjani, groin strain, of these injuries this is the most likely to have been caused by over-training that sort of thing, but just as likely to be down to his age and weight and making the wrong movement. Superman, sore hamstrings, to be expected really, happier with his tights on.
