I remember those old Panini books and what a rip off they were. I’d go to school with a pocket full of ‘swaps’ and spend break time trying to get all the City ones. In the end I only needed Ron Futcher but he was one of the very rare ones, my mate who was a blue had it as a swap but refused to let me have it because he didn’t want me to get all the City ones. He was a right spoiled twat in hindsight.
He’s a rag now and works for a newspaper - says a lot really….

He actually switched from City to West Ham (when they won the FA Cup) then to the rags. No backbone in the lad.How do u switch from Blue to red?
Would have been ridiculed in my school.
I definitely completed two merlin sticker books. I think it was 94-95 and 95-96. I could be wrong though. Wish I would have kept them now!Am sure some of the stickers were never printed so you would have to pay more for the "last few" to fill the album. Did anyone ever actually complete a sticker album? Remember scottish teams players were 2 to a sticker.
I remember immense sticker amounts of Gary McAllister, Gary Pallister, Keith Curle and Steve Bruce. I think Stan Collymore at some point also? Along with the short guy that used to play up front with him at Forrest. Was it Des Lyttle?Gary McAllister, the Nosferatu lookalike?
