hey up, its been a long while since i last posted. decided to give the forum a swerve for a while. Too many insults and ill feeling going about on here but its all seems to have settled down! Hope you all well anyway..........needles to say iv missed the banter!
What an exiting time for us right now, i think a few of our players showed their true colours this afternoon. I think Zab was superb in his natural position again, as was Kompany most importantly so was our support, clearly lifting us in the second half and giving us the 11th man again.
I previously was a Hughes doubter, but if he could get this team to play the ball on the floor like they were doing in the first hald and stop this hoofing the ball up, with a few additions and a real quality striker then we have really got something here. I think the key player could be the Boj, im very excited about the prospect of him with a good run in the side!
On a negative note, thought SWP's first touch let him down on more than one ocasion today and he should have made more of the space afforded to him by the Wigan players doubleing sometimes putting 3 against robinho. Heart still worries me, i know he is young but he doesnt command his box whats so ever. Evertime a half decent ball comes anywhere near the 6 yard box should be his and he seems to just flap at everything and unsettle the defence. He is in danger of becoming just a very talented shot stoper and a keeper needs to be more than that. Im not even going to start on Dunne, but the writing is on the wall for all to see.
