I've got two mates that do that for Sony on the F1 games, they have been there since uni, both early 30's and they earn less than £40k, so that could be a factor. It's not huge money.

She a recovering alcoholic as well so may have very low self esteem

£40k a year wouldn't get you a big enough mortgage for a garden shed down there.

It's not neccessarily about his money -more likely that he'll have conditioned her to believe that she couldn't manage without him. She's likely to think she's useless and simply couldn't manage on her own. By the sounds of it she'll have no friends left so can't turn to them for help/advice or somewhere to stay whilst she finds a place to go. Contact with anyone will be supervised or monitored. He's probably bullied her into giving him her log in details for email accounts and he'll check her phone and bills.


To anyone who doesn't know how these people work and pick on vulnerable women - ex-addicts, previously abused, low self esteem - it all sounds pathetic. It isn't though - often these victims end up in hospital or worse. It's like telling the little kid at school not to give the bully his sweets - they're so scared that they'll get a good hiding they can't. They've been frightened into not telling anyone as part of the domination process. So it just goes on - often with nobody else knowing anything about it.

We've all bitten our tongue when the other half has done something to piss us off as you know she'll kick off and spoil the evening -so you just shut up and let it go just to keep the peace. This is how it starts with these relationships.

Woman gets bollocking for flirting but chooses to ignore it so as not to start a row. Then he says shes making a fool of herself as nobody would be interested in her. Over the next weeks and months she's told she's boring, unnattractive and looks a mess when they go out. She's warned she'd better not flirt. And no I wasn't, restraining orders are not given out like the MEN on a Friday. Hence me saying that it is probably true, as she would have needed evidence of abuse or threats to gain one in the first place.

Look, your persecution complex and hard on for me is flattering but just give it a rest, it's boring now and you do yourself no favours.

As a kid (around 11) I was once bound over to keep the peace. I was completely innocent and in fact I was the one that was violently assaulted. Sometimes the law is not fair and can be fooled by complete liars that know the system.

Basically what happened was my 8/9 year old sister fell out with her friend next door and ended up in a fight. This culminated in the two sister from next door one aged 8/9 and one aged 13/14 (around a couple of foot taller than my sister) battering the fuck out of my sister. I saw that and ran over and literally just pushed the 13/14 year old girl of my sister. I didn't hit her as its not in me to hit females I just pushed her.

The mother (over 6 foot, huge compared to me and taller than my dad 5'10) of the two girls from next door saw that then ran over and proceeded to beat the shit out of me. At one point she literally picked me up by the neck, a couple of foot of the floor and throttled the fuck out of me and severally hurt my neck.

Anyway the police were involved and all sorts of lies were told. From me throwing a brick and hitting a 6 month year old baby on the head. To trying to set the neighbours house on fire. Basically I was made out to be the kid from hell, I swear though on everything I hold dear every single word of it was a lie. All I was interested in back then was school work, Star Trek, cartoons and football, I was a proper quiet geeky kid, a proper little goody to shoes in fact.

This family from next door though were directly related to the Wards and Shorts (the cunts in Clayton/Droylsden that got shot). The bastards after getting me and mam bound over to keep the peace then started to threaten to burn down our house and shoot my entire family. Basically all sorts of crazy demented shit was threatened and we ended up having to move out of the area.

The above is off topic I know but that's was my first experience of dealing with the law. I ended up getting bound over to keep the peace which I was completely innocent of as it was all lies and my family got persecuted by the local gangster family so badly we had to move out of the area. It might of happened 20 years ago when I was a kid but I'm still very bitter about what happened. The above and more incidents in a similar vein are why I probably have a sever disliking for the law in general.
