I'll never understand in this day and age why battered spouses stay with the abusive partner.

Because being constantly, controlled, manipulated and verbally/physically abused, curbs the persons self esteem to the point where they become almost reliant on the abuser and begin to believe they are at fault for the abuse that takes place.

If thats the case why has she reported it?

She was only with him from January to August and this abuse started quite quickly by the sounds of it, so why not just get out then?

I'm not in any way saying any of it's her fault, but i can't see for the life of me why after the first time she didn't walk away.

Being in a fucked up relationship for a few years, where the woman was very possessive, controlling, and zapped everything I enjoyed doing... Damn right I had anger issues as I was depressed all the time with her being so possessive.

I don't like JLC much if I'm honest, but in these cases it's always the man's fault and it pisses me off... Women can be very manipulative and controlling just as much as men.
