I was torn between an iPhone or one of the many online deals that involve cashback/free ps3 etc...

I'm so glad I went for the iPhone! Absolutely immense. I'm posting off it here now

The applications are mind blowing

I pay 44 plus 7 for unlimited texts! Well worth it

Well worth the money, I think i pay around £45/50 PM with 1000 mins, and 600 text, like any phone they barte loads of packages. Its what suits you, i think you can only get it from O2 though so getting discount is non existant.
 
You can get it on Orange and Tesco's now but the prices are more or less the same. I'd wait until the new year when Vodafone start doing it. Rumour is they will be the cheapest, so if you can wait, I would.
 
I saw an advert the other day for Iphones stating

"Need to work out your share of the bill?"

We have an app for that

After 9 months on the £44 a month contract you can lower it to £35 a month and keep the same ammount of calls and texts as the £44 a month contract
