The squad confidence is teetering.

Win today, belief will come coursing back. Confidence in the manager from players and fans will rise.

Lose today and I think the season will end with a whimper.

I know that a defeat on paper is of course not terminal, but I just get the feeling it will be a long hard road if Liverpool outplay us.

Really looking forward to it...with some nervous anticipation too.

I don't agree. Defeat will be a bit of a setback, that's all. We are in pole position to take 4th spot. Liverpool will be nervy and uncertain on the ball this afternoon.

If we play like we're capable of playing the points are there for the taking.

I do agree. It dawned on me this morning that this is an important game. It may not be the case of course but I have a feeling that whoever wins today could take fourth place. I truely believe that it's between us and Liverpool.

Problem is we got chelsea away next spuds villa at home which are all tough fixtures, a loss to Liverpool could put a huge dent in our confidence.

I agree with the op,
I dont think the importance of this game can be overstated, if we attack Liverpoo we will destroy them and as well as the three points it will be a massive boost to all connected with MCFC and knock the heart out of the opposition (& to a lesser degree spuds and villa).
Sit back with three Dm's and they will beat us and go on to take 4th again, a draw and both Villa and spuds will be thinking they can take the 4th place.
