a nett 7 points off with a nett 10 to play - I think even a 2012 style clawback will not rescue this now, last night confirmed that for me
How did they look exhausted they never actually got started, so the rest should do them good. But the players looked exhausted at Anfield and now the best players have another game in their legs and we play again on Saturday. Pellegrini got the team wrong. He might have thought if we can get through against Liverpool then I can rest players at home to Villa.
Me too.Even after that shambles last night, I'm still positive - I think we can still win the league. I didn't expect anything last night & it was just a bonus all of the top 3 dropped points. It'll become a lot clearer over the next 2-3 weeks but I'm confident within that time frame we'll be only 4 or so points off the top. We've got to play Arsenal at home, which i think we'll win, spurs have a v. tough run in and Leicester will drop points against the 'lesser' sides IMO - I believe Watford will beat them on Saturday, for example. It'll be close, and may even come down to the last game of the season, but we're not out of this yet, in fact I think 7/1 is a great price ;)
I think we can get close, and will.
A real problem this year, for the first time in a few, is that our goal difference advantage - which was so good earlier in the season - has gone into reverse. The league has been so odd I could see GD being a factor
