If we get it it will be amazing but should prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The facts show we are a very good side at home and a genuinely poor one away from home. That suggests 5th or 6th more realistic painful as it seems.

The team has some glaring deficiencies which get shown up away. Lack of a box to box midfielder, lack of pace and creativity in central midfield, general lack of physical stature, quiet back four that lacks any menace at all and hasn't played enough together.

Mancini is no miracle worker. We are going to lose more than we draw or win away. That's a fact. I was amazed no full backs or central midfielders came in the window and I think it will cost us dear.

The game v the Scousers becomes ever more important.

Yes 4th spot will be a bonus & I as much as every1 else would love to claim 4th but don't forget even if we finish 5th or 6th we still get into europe, ok not the champs league, but europe all the same.
If you think where we was 10 or5 or even 3 years ago then any european place is improvement, & I know we had european games last season but that was through the fair play league not there on merit!!!!!!!!!!!.
Lets get on & support the team & claim a european spot....be it 4th/5th or 6th place.

for me personally I wouldn't mind 5th or 6th - I love City so I love watching the extra games the Europa League competition presents, it will be the ability to recruit players that will concern me.

I agree with a lot of what your saying mate but for me we have the 4th best squad in the league. The tactics yesterday were a joke as they were against Utd and Portsmouth. We should be able to put a team out to play much better and beat teams like Hull. It's a funny season because we could still make 4th or we could end up 7th and struggling to make Europe at all.The dippers have come into a bit of form but I don't think it will last and I can't see any of us going on a great run form here on in.

That's the thing. As much as I really enjoyed the UEFA Cup last year, Europa League football really is of no benefit to us for where we want to go now. It won't help in attracting any new players to the club and it will just get in the way of next year's task of trying to get in the top 4.

Yes, 5th or 6th would be a great improvement for us, but it's all about 4th now. We can still do it though. We just need to be a bit more adventurous in our play.

We need CL before Platini moves the goal posts and forces our owners to move there investment into Formula one or Horse racing, football obviously doesn't need this extra investment. We aint got time to be prancing around in mid table, thats the big point your missing mate. We need to get inside the CL loop fast, before everyone votes to marginaliise us.

champions league is essential. we need to take advantage while the rest of the competition are poor. imo this is the weakest premier league we have had in a long while. if we can get in the champions league then the type of players we can attract will be enormous not to mention expanding the fan base which is a general aim of the club. europa league will just see us play a series of games in front of a half empty eastlands. we need 4th place this season and with 2 games in hand i dont see why we should settle for anythin less??

we'll get a right wake up call in the chimps league if we even make it..

we still have a way to go at the moment..

it'll come with time...
