i tunes - ipod

I have got myself an ipod but don't know how to put my songs onto it.
At the moment i'm just putting on my cd's onto it before i download anything.
I've downloaded itunes and i'm getting them onto itunes ok.
But how do i get them from there onto my ipod?

just connect your ipod to your pc it will show in itunes then drag the music from your itunes library into the music part on your ipod or just click on autofill (bottom right corner)
