I want Cavani

Falcao and Cavani are two of the most potent and clinical strikers in the world, but the way we have been playing for a while now their goal scoring rates could lessen considerably as our strikers are not being fed enough clear cut chances and these two thrive off service. With that said, unless our service is improved considerably again we might be better off looking at a "creative" forward like Neymar, Jovetic, or the maligned Suarez who might not be as clinical but will go and get the ball instead of waiting for it. I could see Cavani (and Falcao) just stood there flustered right now as we break forward, stop and let teams get everyone behind the ball, play it back to the half way line and spend the next 15 minutes trying to carve out a chance.

After reading this post it makes me think that Suarez would be a more effective purchase than Cavani or Falcao. if we signed Suarez would we line up like this?

Aguero
Suarez Yaya Silva
Barry/ Garcia - (New signing?)

Mancini was absolutely right when he said we're too "soft" in the box. Cavani would actually attack things and not be caught on his heels all the time like our current strikers.

Threads like this are so shit.

Why??? because someone name a player that may play for us in the future???...TBH we have more chances to buy him instead of falcao

He's my choice being as Falcoa looks nailed on for Chelsea.

Clinical, a beat at set piece, scored with head as well as feet and not afraid of top opposition.

Expecting to sound the rape alarm when De Laurentis put his fee request forward.

No, it's the manner of the thread. For the record, I'd love to see Cavani at City too, but it's the way the OP posts like a stroppy little bitch that makes this thread and others like it so shit.

You're incredibly irritating too.

And yes, I'm the resident miserable ****.

All this talk about our forwards being off the pace. Lets start by getting a left back & then a left winger. This would allow Silva to move inside more & create chances for the front 2. He constantly is coming over to the wing to look for the ball or cover. Kolorov is pants & needs to go. When Clichy is out we have been forced on a number of occasions to play Zab on the left. Leaving R/B weak with Micah being out. This has been proven by Maicon switching off a few times. We bought Sinclair for the wing (not my choice) but he has not been given a chance. Tevez & Aguero have both proved they can do it at the top level. So yes a 3rd top striker. But there are other positions to think of as well. Scoring goals wins games. But defending & creating also contributes in a big way.

Nothing wrong with our forwards its the tempo we play at it is to ponderous we need to do quick passing football instead of turning and playing it back its to obvious.Increase the tempo and more chances will be created for this you need to identify the players who are slow in possesion.Yesterday for examle kompany would pass to lecott and lescott would play back to hart and the move starts again then hart throws it to kompany, and kompany passes to lecott and lescott goes back again to hart its to easy for teams to get back in possesion and defend against.I think if nastasic would have played we would have passed quicker from the back and may have taken three points.

I bet you don't want him as much as Mancini, he's wanted him since day one.

just watching him today against Pescara, he makes brilliant runs for such a big guy. He'd be awesome for us.

Very powerful and would fit in the Prem no problem

I still think he's our number one target and that our Falcao interest is a smokescreen for the true target. IMO Falcao is too similar to Sergio, I expect us to unload Dzek and Balo, in which case Cavani would be perfect.

I'd love us to have Sergio, Falcao, A.N. other and Guidetti as our four strikers and ultimately unload Tev, Balo and Dzek whilst bringing in genuine width and pace in the form of Isco and someone like Bale.
