RIP Sue & Sam.
Glad to see the back of him and his interviews?

For me he started off as a bit of a laugh, then I got sick of hearing him and then I warmed to him again as I realised how much he was enjoying the whole PL experience.

He does gibber on a bit but I think he's just getting carried away with it all - it's a dream and I feel sorry for him that it's all over. He didn't take the press interviews too seriously and said a few things more experienced managers may have been thinking but didn't want to say.

Would like to see him back next season although I won't be putting my shirt on it at the bookies!

Will miss him i know "breath of fresh air" is used to often with him but it truly was a funny season with his insane gibberings. He wore his heart on his sleeve and came into the prem with a fairly shite team and said "fuck it we ar e gonna play football and see what happens" and he never swayed from that. Birmingham were shit and glad to see the back. The table doesnt lie but i really hope they can come back up and try there swash buckling style again

yeah he was alrite at first but then he did nothing but do my swede in.

he soon shut up after christmas wen they began to slide.

bye bye

sounded like david brent and unfortunately turned into him half way through the season,a country bumpkin buffoon...

but nevermind,we`ll have a certain neil warnock coming up and telling it like it is....

The funny thing is because he speeks with a northern accent everyone will agree with him on here although he pretty much says the same as Holloway

If Holloway had spent half as much time working with his defence on how to defend as he did trying to make reporters laugh they may have stayed up!

Both Baconface lovers

Posted the below on another thread and it applies here...Holloway...TIT!

Holloway can moan all he likes....the blame for their failure is his and his alone.

If he had not fallen for all the positive press he was getting for their style of play, he might have got more pragmatic in the second half of the season and kept them up. For them to be relegated after where they were mid season is a big let down, and for all Holloways fancy and frankly bizarre press confrences, for me he failed.

Correct, in fact he didn't even need to do that, just 2 games had they got a point instead of losing from being in the lead, they would have stayed up.

The man is a cock, and if I was a Blackpool supporter I'd be blaming him solely for relegation, and the chairman should sack him for being incompetent.

at first he was funny then got boring and annoying, glad to see the back of blackpool BYE

I'm sure Norwich Away will be just as an attractive proposition as Blackpool was!

Like with Holloway. It'll be fun for a month.

Then it'll get boring.

Makes me laugh he is even nominated for manager of the year.
Why? because they score goals but ship even more in.

3 teams came up, 2 stayed up. 1 didnt. The 2 who stayed up changed manager during the season and this probably helped them stay up esp WBA.

Sure Blackpool play good attacking football thats easy on the eye to watch but they were tactically niave and thats why they are down.

Liked Holloway at first but soon grew tired of him ranting time and time again. he fell in love with himself i think, all the attention given to him

You'll be begging for him back when you have to listen to Warnock instead next season!

Tactically naive?

The fact is that Blackpool had a budget for wages that was ridiculously small compared with othr premiership teams. He had to make do with players many of whom were Div1 standard at best. His few players of any quality were attacking players he played to their strengths and it nearly came off.

If he'd stuck 10 men behind the ball and hoofed it long they would have still gone down and probably with far fewer points, he played a very weak hand pretty well. Criticising him for tactical naivety misses the point that he damn nearly kept a team up on far fewer resources than any recent manager in premiership history. He had poor defenders but they nearly stayed up.

Enjoyed having them in the Prem tbh. Only lower team that I've seen in years go full out attack at the Sky 4 away. I think he knew his squad had slim hopes of staying up and just tried to play good football. Probably not the best idea but it was better than watching another Blackburn.

I think he is a bit of a dick & hate how he thinks everyone is entertained by his press conferences.

Saying that he had a good go at the Premier League with very limited resources. His transfer budget compared to ours is miles apart. I think if he had the players West Ham had he would have stayed up, so in that sense I think he is a better manager than some in the PL.
